NGO Darpan Portal Guide
What is NGO Darpan?#
NGO Darpan is a portal managed by NITI Aayog that provides a unique ID to NGOs/Voluntary Organizations (VOs) for direct partnership with various Central Government ministries and departments.
Purpose#
- Verify authenticity of NGOs
- Enable paperless application for government schemes
- Maintain database of credible NGOs
- Facilitate direct funding from government departments
Portal Access#
- Website: ngodarpan.gov.in
- Login: Create account using email and mobile number
- No registration fee
Registration Process#
Step 1: Create Account#
- Visit ngodarpan.gov.in
- Click "Register / Login"
- Enter email, mobile number, and password
- Verify via OTP
Step 2: Fill Organization Details#
Required information:
- Organization name (as per registration certificate)
- Type of entity (Society/Trust/Non-Profit Company)
- Date of registration
- State and district
- Address
- Sector/area of work
Step 3: Upload Documents#
- Registration certificate (mandatory)
- PAN card (mandatory)
- 12A registration certificate (if applicable)
- 80G certificate (if applicable)
- FCRA certificate (if receiving foreign funds)
- Board resolution (for trusts)
Step 4: Submit for Verification#
- Submit application online
- Verification done by District Magistrate/State Government
- Unique NGO Darpan ID generated upon successful verification
NGO Darpan Unique ID#
- 12-digit unique identification number
- Required for applying to most government schemes
- Valid for 5 years, must be renewed

Verification Delays#
